Setting up push on your forum

Push needs the free Sysaru App plugin on your forum and an active Sysaru Push plan.

  1. Install the plugin. See Installing the plugin.
  2. In your forum, open Admin, Plugins, Sysaru App, then Notifications.
  3. Choose Managed, which uses Sysaru's push service.
  4. Enter your push licence key and press Validate & Activate.

The page then says Relay assigned. Push delivery is live. If it says the relay is pending, wait: it is checked every hour, and alerts start as soon as it is assigned.

If it will not activate

  • That push license key is not valid for this forum: the key belongs to another forum's address. The licence works only on the domain you named when you ordered.
  • Push can't be activated on a local or test domain: activate it on your live forum.

If you cannot find your licence key, open a ticket about your Push licence and we will send it to you.
