Installing the plugin

You need a self hosted Discourse forum, installed with the standard Docker setup in /var/discourse.

  1. Open containers/app.yml on your server.
  2. Under hooks, then after_code, add the line git clone https://github.com/dpnmw/sysaru-app.git beside your other plugins.
  3. Rebuild the forum: cd /var/discourse, then ./launcher rebuild app.

The plugin is on once the rebuild finishes. Then, in Admin, Plugins, Sysaru App:

  1. Authentication: choose the sign in methods the app may offer.
  2. Connect: list your community in the Forum Explorer, if you want to.
  3. Features: choose which app features your members can use.
  4. Notifications: activate push, once you have a Sysaru Push plan.
