Cookie Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how DPN Media Works, Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica, uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, including dpnmediaworks.com and this Client Portal. It should be read together with our Data Privacy policy. Essential cookies described here are used to provide the service you request; where we use any non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent as required by law.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in comparable ways. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

3. How we use cookies

Our websites are deliberately light on tracking. We run no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no third party analytics that profile you.

Essential cookies

These are necessary for the websites to function and cannot be switched off in our systems:

  1. Session — keeps you signed in to your portal account and, for administrators, to the control panel.
  2. Security (CSRF) — protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery.
  3. Cart — remembers items in your cart during checkout, including for guests.
  4. Preferences — remembers choices such as your light/dark theme (stored as dpn-theme on the marketing site) and whether you have responded to our cookie notice (dpn-cookie), so it does not reappear on every visit.

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR this storage is strictly necessary or functional, so it does not require prior consent, but we show a notice so you are informed.

Analytics and performance cookies

Where used, these help us understand how the websites are used so we can improve them. We only set non-essential analytics cookies with your consent.

Third party cookies

Some pages load services from third parties that may set their own cookies:

  1. Checkout — our payment processor, PayPal, sets cookies during checkout for payment and fraud prevention, governed by PayPal's own cookie and privacy policies.
  2. Consultation booking — booking links take you to Google's appointment calendar, governed by Google's own cookie and privacy policies.
  3. Embedded content — such as video, governed by the provider's policies.

Our web servers also keep standard operational logs, described in our Data Privacy policy.

4. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or removing them ("clear site data"). Blocking essential cookies will prevent parts of the websites, such as signing in or checking out, from working; clearing local storage on the marketing site simply resets your theme choice and shows the cookie notice again. Where we present a cookie consent option, you can change your non-essential choices there at any time.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, we do not currently respond to these signals, but we limit non-essential cookies as described above.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date on this page reflects the latest revision.

7. Contact

Questions about our use of cookies can be sent to [email protected] or through the contact form on this portal.
