Sysaru Kit for live broadcasts

Sysaru Kit is a free plugin for Discourse Voice. Pick a Voice room, add where to stream it, and go live: it renders a branded broadcast page and streams it to every destination at once.

  • Streams: YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Kick or any custom RTMP address, several at once. Stream keys are stored on your server and never shown again.
  • Broadcast: the active speaker, waveforms, an ON AIR badge and timer, listener count, raised hands, a chat ticker and a countdown to a scheduled start, each one switchable.
  • Layouts: speaker, grid, and a vertical layout for portrait platforms, switching live.
  • Design: colours, fonts, logo and pictures for the broadcast page.
  • Preview: see the stream before going live.
  • Capture: use your own switcher instead of paying for egress.

What it needs

  • Discourse 3.6.0 or newer, with its Voice plugin set up for LiveKit.
  • A self hosted LiveKit server with its egress service.

Install it as you install Sysaru App, with the line git clone https://github.com/dpnmw/sysaru-kit.git, then turn on sysaru_kit_enabled and open Admin, Plugins, Sysaru Kit.
